maths
still plodding through my intermediate algebra book. i get to a point and then my brain just shuts down and refuses to 'see' the problem. when i go back to it, the next day or whenever, i'm able to make progress. what is it about maths that makes the (my) brain do this?
i can't think of any other subject, except physics (which is just plain hard) that my brain reacts too like this. everything else, i just get fatigued and feel like i've had enough, but can still put in another quarter hour, etc. .
maths? there's no way i can 'do a little bit more'. weird.
self studying is tough. especially maths.
