interesting op-ed piece in the post this weekend denying that 3% qualifies as an epidemic and that the comparison to most african nations is out of context. the premise for this argument was that the anti-retrovirals that are now available are making the high infection rate bearable/managable. seriously?! who is going to pay the ticket for that public health bill? to be fair the piece did suggest a clean needle program be instituted, but we'll see. thanks for the outrage.
