since daisy and i are flying off to alaska on a once in a lifetime trip next month to get married, we thought we'd better take some decent photos of our glacier-trekking, grizzly bear-watching, alaskan wildlife safari, helicopter flightseeing, whale-watching extravaganza, so we just bought a new digital camera.
it's a canaon eos 30d, and it's a great piece of kit. straight out of the box on fully auto mode it takes great photos.
i've had decent photography gear in the past (nikon), but i am a complete novice to digital photography, so i've a lot to learn. luckily, photography basics don't change, but i'm very rusty, so i'm going to need to get clicking and get my head back into all that stuff.
...i reckon it will take me a month to learn how to use it properly so i can hopefully begin to get the most out the many photo ops we'll have.
